From left to right:
1- Most recent. Last week at the parking lot in my car testing the dash cam and admiring my new glasses.
2- The cover page of one of my philosophical poetry books. A few years ago. I am still a true poetic fool who forgot to grow wiser..
3- In a suit & a bow-tie going to a Chemists' Association AGM dinner a decade ago.
4- As a referee at a prestigious football "soccer" math in Ontario over 2 decades ago,
From left to right:
1- With a book and a cigar. I still read, but the cigar part is gone - well, maybe once in a blue moon at a party or the monthly fun $20 poker night.
I often resort to escapism, a room at a small riverside motel in a small secluded town somewhere, just me and my laptop to write.
2- A newspaper coverage of my latest literature book, a novel "The Sound of High Heels," a romance erotica. A Hollywood agent believes it has a potential to make the silver screen.
I am now working on my next novel, "Mine is Bigger,"... no, that's not what it refers to, but I like how you think :)
OK. That was enough of casual, fun photos.
Back to serious and professional.
Here is a sample of photos during recent symposiums and clinics I addressed.
By the way, the goat beard look was a temporary thing and I didn't like it.
Yeah, this goat beard thing is gone.
I put effort in, and I take pride in being fit and in a good shape. The two photos on the right are recent. I still play soccer in a 45+ league.
Some memorabilia shots.
Yeah, at one point I had that mustache.
My passions:
Chemistry & science
Poetry
Soccer (real football)
OK... just for a different angle...
Well, I think these beachwear or swimsuit type photos should be included. Nothing is unprofessional or offensive about them, and there is nothing here that you wouldn't see on a beach or a swimming pool. And, hey... women competitions have a swimsuit session, so why not here?
I am being open, and I hope you'll appreciate the light-hearted approach, and will not find them too silly or rude. I even posed very recently for a nudity drawing art class!
These photos vary in age from recent, this year, to a couple of decades old. I kept them as a positive pressure on myself to never give in and give up or let go. I must maintain my fitness and physique and stay ahead of the game.
I consider these photos reasonably conservative shots. In my wild days during med school I... well... maybe you'll hear about that if we become friends. Very good friends. Really close :)
This is the current facial hair style.
Four recent shots, including one with "my only begotten son whom I love" - as I often say, facetiously, in an ecclesiastical tone.
In Northern BC two years or so ago.
If a photo tells a thousand words, well, here is my encyclopedia :)
An introductory collage of photos as an author, footballer, chemist, parent, ... and simply a man having fun.
Time flies.
Where did the years go and how? It was yesterday when I was a fresh college student.
I graduated from UoT "Toronto," - and three other universities. I had first joined med school, but analytical chemistry, pharma lab research was my passion, and my Masters and second doctorates were in analytical chemistry and pharmacology.
While working as a chemist for MDL & EPL, I enrolled for several years in evening studies in a different field, literature. That was my hobby, and I was referred to as a professional student. I obtained another grad degree in literature. Poetry had always rattled my soul.
I published three books in poetry and won the 2011 poet of the year award.
By the way, though I lived most of my life here in Canada, I was born in Egypt, and I still do have an Egyptian accent that I refuse to dismiss.
My business card is a good window or intro...
I have nothing to hide.

Above, and below, at my lab office in Toronto over 2 decades ago.
Some work shots that appeared in company publications.
Some of my books in medical research, chemistry (university textbooks), and literature.
With my son. He is now a 23-year old incredible young man. I raised him on my own as a single dad since he was 4 years old...
I love dogs. I had Great Danes most of my life. I still visit someone here in town just to spend time with his golden retriever.
A few years ago, as my son left to go to college and I found myself alone in a 5-bedroom house, I sold it and moved into a one-bedroom apt in town. It's all I need. It's more like a cottage.
To the right,
chairing a meeting..
I am lucky he still lets me hug him and kiss him in public. Perhaps an Egyptian cultural root still there
Yes. This was originally a naked shot for "Euro Girl" magazine. lol
OK. That's it.
No more photos for you.
Well, almost no more :)
To conclude, here are three very recent shots, this month.
Perhaps one of these three shots is all I really needed to
post, but, "short & sweet" has never been one of my qualities :)
This week, in the parking lot admiring my new glasses :)
Below, this month. The Chemists' Association & Pharmaceutical Research Scientists Society renewal membership card photo.
Another recent shot at home.
At EPL lab
